A higher education is needed to achieve my career goals. My aspirations is to obtain my bachelor’s degree in chemistry to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor as well as establishing a non-profit organization to help people in developing countries where medical aid is needed. Being able to have a higher education especially a liberal arts education is very important toward helping me achieve my long term goals. Spelman College will not only prepare me mentally and physically to become a physician but also allow me to develop a rational approach to the real world. While in college, I plan to major in chemistry with a pre-med track and minor in french. During my senior year of college I plan to take the MCAT to get into med school. After graduating from Spelman I plan to go to med school at either Georgetown, John Hopkins, Meharry or Howard University. I also plan to somehow attend Grad school to get my degree in business in order to pursue my dream of owning my own non-profit organization. For me, being a doctor and owning my own non-profit organizations means everything and so much more. Knowing that you’ve helped contribute to making someone feel better or just simply making sure your patients feel empowered and confident is the most rewarding and gratifying. …show more content…
