I have always wanted to be a teacher. My motto is to change to world one child at a time. I want to let the children know that anything is possible with hard work and dedication. I after my decision not to complete student teaching at Austin Peay, I thought that teaching was out of the question. I settled to teach at the daycare; I was employed there for the past 12 years. When the daycare closed, I wanted to go through an university to get my masters to get certified. I saw the Relay table in Memphis at the job fair in 2016 and the people were friendly and very encouraging. I would be honored to teach through this institution. If the child home life is not stable, safe and nourishing, the child will focus on his or her basic needs before learning. If the child does not understand the material, then it is easy for a child to fall behind because basic skills were not mastered. Another way for a child to fall behind, is not getting an individual educational plan in place for him or her in a timely manner. If the child has a undiagnosed learning disability, then the child will not be successful because the educational needs are not being met.
All of the ways a child can fall behind can be fixed with time and consistency. If the child's home life is interfering, the I can find out what needs are not being met and reach out to the family to provide assistance. If a child is not comprehending something, or did not grasp a basic concept needed, I will find out where the miscommunication occurred and fix it. If the child has a disability, gifted, or needs assistance with certain things, an extra steps can be given to the child through the educational
