Indicate leadership positions and/or awards received.I have been a part of our Falcons First Robotics club for the past two years, and it has been a great, enriching experience. Additionally, I am a part of KAST, which is an acronym for Kids Are Scientists Too, it works to revolutionize youth science education through creating lesson plans and teaching fourth and fifth grade students in our area with fun, hands-on science experiments. Additionally, I am the founder and president of the World Bank Book Club, which works to collect books for underprivileged children in developing countries. Some awards that I have received are Outstanding Academic Excellence from the President's Education Award Program, the Superintendent's Student Service Learning Award, Kumon Mathlete awarded for my mathematical excellence, and I have always been on the honor roll. Although I have not done much in the STEM field, I have a lot of experience with STEM and the type of thinking that is required to succeed in STEM fields, through the classes that I take. Why? (1500 words or less)I am most interested in biology because this is an area of science in which of all the disciplines come together. It has always been my ambition to become a Pediatrician, and I believe that entering this program is a right step towards that direction. Additionally, I have much interest in the STEM field in general which is why I am in the Science, Math, Computer Science program at Poolesville High School. Additionally, I have not had the opportunity to participate in many STEM activities out of school which is another reason I hope to gain the opportunity to be a part of the REAP program. By doing so, I will be able gain more knowledge regarding the many areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. All of which are crucial to our future and thus have a high academic
