3. I would make a great iSchool student because I am a risk taker and an open-minded student. iSchool provides students with a lot of choice and freedom. I am excited to have the opportunity to choose my own classes and learn about new subjects I have not studied before. I have always appreciated taking a new science class or participating in a different extracurricular activity. I love trying new things and am eager to take advantage of the many opportunities iSchool has to offer. I value diversity and love learning from my peers, so it is important for me to attend a school that shares these values. I enjoy participating in class discussions, listening to other’s opinions and sharing my own ideas with my classmates. I appreciate the iSchool community and how it celebrates individuality and uniqueness. I am excited to be part of a school that encourages students to debate, discuss, collaborate and learn from one another. I would be honored to become a member of the iSchool community that could support my curiosity and passion for learning both in the classroom and from my peers.

4. After looking through the iSchool website, watching the video and reading the admissions article, one aspect of the iSchool program that most appeals to me is the Area of Focus program. This program interests me because it would give me the opportunity to deeply engage in a topic that I am most interested in learning. An area of focus I would choose would be history because I enjoy learning about different cultures and historical events, the events that have helped to shape our world as it is today. I think it is especially important to understand our world’s history, so I am better able to recognize when history repeats itself. Recently, I learned about the Indus River Valley and the ancient Mesopotamian civilization. Six thousand years ago, these societies had advanced sewage systems, strong governments and grid systems for their cities, much like modern-day New York City. I am fascinated by how these civilizations have impacted and shaped our society
