After analyzing all my academic materials, I show that I am a well-rounded student as I have participated in different research projects, extracurriculars, and internship experience abroad. I demonstrate that I am able to manage both my job as a peer mentor and on-campus leadership roles, as well as my rigorous classes in an equalized fashion. I am also able to show my initiative to take action in roles concerning things I am passionate about and try to solutionize problems when they arise. Although my academic materials highlight some of my strengths, I believe I can continue to take on more roles that can increase the competitiveness of my application. For example, I could take on another job or present the research projects I have been involved with. I think doing would make me a more diverse and well-rounded student.
The combination of all my academic materials show that I am a versatile student as I hold extracurricular leadership positions, a job, and take rigorous courses at the same time. Since my goal is to become a professor as I greatly enjoy teaching others, it would be wise to get a broad experience of this realm. Although, this can be rare to accomplish as an undergraduate student, I can start small and grow from them. Specifically, my goal is to start as a peer mentor for the Office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry and work my way up or be a mentor in the research projects I have assisted in.
