I always knew that I wanted to pursue a business related degree, but I didn’t know whether I wanted to major in accounting or become a CPA. Growing up I watched my parents who were are both Accountants work on financial statements, balance sheets, reconciliations, international and local taxes. I learned that you can get to know a lot about a business just by looking at its books and records, how they spend their money, their plans and profit margins. Later I accompanied my aging grandmother to an Attorney’s office to write her will. There I watched the Attorney and an Accountant sitting on each side of the table, both attempting to convince her to make a certain decision, causing conflict between them and confusion to my grandmother. Academics are important and I will excel, however I look forward to challenge myself to get involved in clubs, student unions and different organizations and meet as many new people as I can. University life is not only academic study but I will get work experience, volunteer I always knew that I wanted to pursue a business related degree, but I didn’t know whether I wanted to major in accounting or become a CPA. That is when I made up my mind to be both a CPA and a lawyer. I decided that I would open my own practice, to focus on estate planning and taxes. Both these areas require ability to understand the numbers as well as the legal system and I am certain my clients will have confidence that I have all their bases
