It can be said that “A person spends more time choosing a car than a career”. Applying that to my personal life I don't actually own a car, but do have an internship. However, I can see how that quote can apply to most people. I myself have an idea of the dream car I would like, something fuel efficient, reliable, and fashionable. Thinking of my dream job, I would be looking for great pay, reliability and flexibility. Acquiring my dream car would be a lot easier than finding my dream job. It just so happens that my dream car is the way in which modern day cars are progressing, and they are getting more and more expensive. Finding my dream job, would require a lot more effort, as there are many different paths I can choose. Even though I am currently on the mechanical engineering track, these past years have made me question if I truly want to be an engineer. I have always that that mechanical engineering would be the best fit for me. Recently I have thought about becoming a personal trainer. I find that I am more passionate about health and fitness than I am engineering. One draw back to becoming a personal trainer is it require a lot more experience and good connections to make a better living than I would as an engineer. It would be roughly $11/hour vs. $60/hour. If I do choose the path of personal training I would have to make a decision within at least the first 15 years post graduation. I could personal train on the side and build a career along with my engineering, but I would risk it interfering. The smart plan of action would to prepare a 5 year, 10 year, and 15 year plan for myself as an engineer. It will help me maximize my time in the engineering path to help better judge if that is what I truly
