Through my numerous experiences, I have attained unique qualifications that exceed the expectations of the Wisconsin School of Business. I am confident that with my noteable work and leadership background, I can bring value to the business school. My previous experiences working for the University of Minnesota CFANS Development Office as well as the University of Wisconsin, Madison Institute of Clinical and Translational Research, have given me extensive knowledge in administrative support. I carried out general office duties as well as worked with various software systems to create and edit Microsoft documents. My proficient background with Microsoft has helped prepared me for the business field because Microsoft skills are an essential qualification in current business occupations. In addition, working closely with office administrators has allowed me to witness managerial obligations and acquire communication and regulatory skills which will benefit me in the future. One example is in my positions as a lifeguard and coach at Hawks Landing Pool, I have participated in enforcing policies to patrons as well as creating learning opportunities for children. Another leadership position I learned from was being a member of the executive board of the Undergraduate Public Health Association at the University of Minnesota, I promoted public health in the community and delegated tasks to complete while organizing volunteer events.
