My desire to become a nurse comes from the passion and satisfaction I have for helping and taking care of others. Working next to nurses I have observed how much more they can offer to care for a patient. I have observed how sometimes the nurses correct the doctor about the patient’s illness. I have observed how they also get to spend as much time with the patients as a C.N.A who is just providing bedside care, and this is what I want to do. I desire to be in their shoes and feel how it is to make a patient smile with the care a nurse can provide. I would be privileged to help someone at their most vulnerable point in life and I would respect any choices they make with it. I desire to be as hardworking as the nurse I look up to at my work, she has taught me so much and I appreciate that she just doesn’t see me as a C.N.A but as a person who is also working just as hard providing care, and I hope to become that nurse and inspire C.N.A’s to not see their job as just work and to be able to have a passion for it because caring for a person is just a microcosmo of what happens in society. …show more content…

I am ready to drop my jobs and commit all of my attention and free time to this program. I have prepared myself with experience of working in a very stimulating environment alongside the nurses being critiqued and complimented on how to do things. I know I can make this one-year commitment if I was able to balance school full time and 2 jobs. I have taken steps to buy my own laptop and build my own study habits that I will come in handy. Life is too long to not go after what you want and the steps that I have taken and will continue to take will be towards this nursing
