I have always had the strong desire to help others and assist those with their daily challenges. Because of this, I have chosen this specific course as it best suits my interests and I believe that this course will give me the knowledge and the confidence to help me move forward on my career path to becoming a fully qualified counsellor. The word 'counsellor' to me is helping towards on creating a positive outlook on life, it is to make a difference for those who need it and to give those the support and the direction to make a change for the better; becoming a counsellor is equally rewarding as they are reaping the feeling of fulfilment, this is the type of career I want in future years. From this BTEC course, I have studied a wide range of subjects within Travel; one of my most valuable topics is customer service where I have gained transferrable skills such as people speaking and patience. Having these desirable skills have given me the knowledge and the experience to make me the best suitable candidate for my chosen course, as well as the job itself.
