One of my greatest passions is helping other people, so much that all of my career goals are oriented at making a difference and being a positive influence on others. As a member of this club, my goal was to contribute to the establishment of an environment where people who were being bullied or abused could feel safe. School should be a safe place where children go to receive an education to further their future, they should not have to fear that they will be verbally or physically attacked and their education hindered due to it. Everyone has times when life is overwhelming whether they’re stressed over the due dates of their schoolwork or having problems at home and sometimes the best way to help cope with these situations is to confide in another person to get assistance, guidance, or comfort. My friends have been influential in my life but most of them have had difficult life circumstances they have had to overcome. I am a constant in the lives of my friends, a support system. I am always readily available to offer any assistance to someone I know whether its providing them with words of encouragement when they need the motivation to keep going, reminding them of how important they are and how much potential they have when the depression is hard to manage, helping them through difficult times at home, offering a place to stay or a shoulder to cry on when they just need to get away or break down, or just doing anything they need to help improve their life. Even things as simple as buying lunch for friends who are struggling financially or offering to lend a hand to my neighbors or a member of my community that would benefit from it allow me to feel like I am making a useful contribution to their lives through the help I
