Since the age of ten, I have developed a passion for computer technology. I was introduced to computers by my mother when she purchased it as a Christmas gift. Unknowingly, it was an invaluable gift that sparked my interest, and would later have a major influence on my career choice. I can recall spending countless hours on my Tandy TRS-80 computer learning how to create and run various programs successfully. Ever since, I have been intrigued by the complexities of their mechanisms, and the manner in which software works cooperatively with hardware.
Before I enrolled at Richard Daley, I purchased Mike Myers CompTia A+ Certification Exam Guide, and I immediately learned how to build and repair hardware components in computers. In addition to gaining this experience, I taught myself how to remove viruses, malware, and securing network systems. I really enjoy the challenge of discovering new ways to secure computers from virus attacks. Instinctively, I have always exercised good troubleshooting ability when I am faced with a problem. Educating myself on securing computer systems has equipped me the preparation necessary to succeed in IT security.
