A dream is a goal without a timeline, and a goal with a timeline will stay a dream without commitment. My commitment to Brebeuf over the past four years is unmatched and I am privileged to have worked with teachers, staff, and students to improve the academic, athletic, and social fabric of the community. I believe I am a qualified candidate for the Peter Knopfel scholarship because I pursue academic excellence, engage in athletics, and make valuable contributions to the club. Throughout grades nine to twelve, I encountered a fair share of challenging courses, yet I consistently produced exemplary grades across all subjects. It was empowering to be an inspiration to the juniors, and to finally win a banner for the school during my last indoor soccer season. Overall, I am glad I dedicated my time because it reinforced the importance of discipline, and confidence in myself. Perhaps the most meaningful way I made an impact in the school was through the clubs at Brebeuf College. BCSA and the student council are two clubs I am most proud to be a part of because they foster connections between students in my community. As a founder of BCSA, I have devoted countless lunches and hours of time to ensure events were organized, games ran smoothly, and the club's mission was achieved. As a result, the club educated students on strategies to achieve mental wellness, and ultimately, a healthier life. My mission to serve the Brebeuf community through academics, sports teams, and community engagement makes me the ideal candidate for the Peter Knopfel scholarship.
