The book highlights that entrepreneurship is not just for business people and that opening a business is not for everyone but entrepreneurship is for everyone and should be applied in every aspect of life. The mindset of entrepreneurship involves risk taking, flexibility, adaptability, being competitive and working with limited resources of time, money, and at times support. After conducting thorough research, I choose to apply to the BHS/Flex program with the goal of attaining the educational foundation that is necessary for me to further my career in the behavioral healthcare field. Through my life journey, I’ve been acknowledge on many occasions for my humanitarian efforts. My desire to find a solution for the needs of others in my community or the venerable individuals who have undoubtedly become a statistic in the system, has inspired me to collaborate diverse methods of assisting them in their development; whether through education or rehabilitation. In my efforts to make even the smallest impact on my community, I have coordinated several events including Back to School drives, home cooked meals for the homeless and clothing drives catering to young women and children.
In this week’s learning journal assignment, I will create the beginning outline for a business plan by writing my own mission statement. I will then highlight the four components of a good mission statement and identify those areas in my mission statement. I will then create an outline for a business plan by answering the “nine questions every business plan should answer”. Finally, I will provide an “elevator pitch” that I can use to “sell the business idea” to others.

Throughout the book, Ben talks about his personal experience and gives helpful advice for anyone currently in a CEO position or looking to be a future CEO. He gives suggestions on how to create a company with your vision when to sell your company, advice about hiring & firing employees etc. these are just a few topics out of many.
The speakers at the CBAD 120 retreat brought energy and a wealth of knowledge of starting your own business. Adam Rice and Meghan Tarmey brought information regarding how effective teamwork reflects directly to the success of a business and their personal experiences regarding it. Also, the information they provided can be directly linked to topics learned in CBAD 120 and the students in the class can use some of the information to improve upon the business plans they have been working on throughout the year. Overall the information provided if put into action in one’s own life is extremely valuable. As I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in economics and philosophy at Pace University, I believe my divergent studies and experience offer a unique, applicable perspective towards data analysis and research. This advantageous program will formulate me for college because it will guide me through vital processes, such as obtaining financial aid, picking the college that best suits me, and learning about the college life. Additionally, this help is vital for me because I am going to be the first person from my family to get to go to college, thus, the whole college process is like wandering into unfamiliar terrain. Moreover, attending college is paramount on my list of goals because I want to receive a phenomenal education and receive a degree that will be the key to all the wonderful opportunities that life has to offer. Essentially, I want to make someone out of myself, help my community, and pay off the sacrifice that my parents made so that I would have the opportunities that they never had. I would first like to formally introduce myself as Kaylee Gray. For my Senior Exhibition Project I chose to follow the “Searching for Identity” pathway. To follow this pathway I decided to create a business plan for a fictional bakery that I could potentially open. I chose this product and path due to me looking into possibly entering the culinary field in the future, specifically having to do with baking and possibly owning my own business in the future. In order to connect my product to my research paper I wrote about the importance of a business plan and how one is immensely beneficial for any future business owner.

Going to counseling and seeing how many children were struggling, and how many single parents there were made me want to help.
Starting your own small business and making it a worldwide company, is not easy at it sounds. This is known as entrepreneurship. There are lots of personals that we can take as entrepreneurs who have achieved their targets and have conquered the world. Among the world’s best entrepreneurs Bill Gates holds a noble title. Some critics may see him as a modern day robber but to the majority of the world he is a great inventor, a great programmer, and an ambitious businessmen.
Everybody always has dreams in their own life, some dreams are achievable and some are not. People without self-confidence are always scared of chasing dreams because failure is like nightmare in their minds. Nevertheless, those people will never know what did they give up, their crystalline dreams. On the other hand, people with enthusiasm always chase their dream without reasons because they will feel regret if they didn’t try; they may be successful however when they try to challenge themselves. Thus, it is important for people to chase their dreams, challenge themselves and achieve their goals.
