The Start-Up of You by Reid Hoffman and Ben Casnocha began as not only a introduction to the structure of the book and it’s overall goals, but it also began to shape the reader’s mindset on how they should not only go about starting businesses but going about their life in general. The book highlights that entrepreneurship is not just for business people and that opening a business is not for everyone but entrepreneurship is for everyone and should be applied in every aspect of life. The mindset of entrepreneurship involves risk taking, flexibility, adaptability, being competitive and working with limited resources of time, money, and at times support. Later the book discussed the rise and fall of Detroit and why Silicon Valley and Netflix
After conducting thorough research, I choose to apply to the BHS/Flex program with the goal of attaining the educational foundation that is necessary for me to further my career in the behavioral healthcare field. Through my life journey, I’ve been acknowledge on many occasions for my humanitarian efforts. My desire to find a solution for the needs of others in my community or the venerable individuals who have undoubtedly become a statistic in the system, has inspired me to collaborate diverse methods of assisting them in their development; whether through education or rehabilitation. In my efforts to make even the smallest impact on my community, I have coordinated several events including Back to School drives, home cooked meals for the homeless and clothing drives catering to young women and children.
In this week’s learning journal assignment, I will create the beginning outline for a business plan by writing my own mission statement. I will then highlight the four components of a good mission statement and identify those areas in my mission statement. I will then create an outline for a business plan by answering the “nine questions every business plan should answer”. Finally, I will provide an “elevator pitch” that I can use to “sell the business idea” to others.
This is a knowledgeable book with real-life experiences and feelings for anyone looking to start their own company. Throughout the book, Ben talks about his personal experience and gives helpful advice for anyone currently in a CEO position or looking to be a future CEO. He gives suggestions on how to create a company with your vision when to sell your company, advice about hiring & firing employees etc. these are just a few topics out of many.
I feel once accepted into Riverside STEM Academy High school, the school will offer me the capabilities of learning the skills needed for my future that I am wanting to pursue. With my plan to be an engineer with the Walt Disney Company, “Imagineer”. STEM can provide me the classes, tools, and teachers to help me learn the needed knowledge in engineering. My goal to be a success in innovation meets the same idea of STEM’S vision of what they try to accomplish with their students. Because I was fortunate enough to go to the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World, and there I experience the “magic” that set the foundation of my interest and fascination in theme park rides and attractions.
If I know or experience a gut-wrenching feeling it’ll be successful, then by golly I will engage it with such aspiration and enthusiasm. If the business doesn’t succeed right away, nonetheless I will persist in trying to make my business triumphant. My favorite entrepreneur, Walt Disney never gave up on his dream of making animated films. Walt Disney opened up his first animation business and worked alongside a local Kansas City theater, the theater screened his cartoons, which were called Laugh-O-Grams.
I am applying for the Research Analyst position at Business Insider in New York City, an opening I learned of through LinkedIn’s explore page. I am applying because I am drawn to Business Insider’s storied success in the data-driven business news space, and specifically with its application of innovative research to offer their users a competitive, meaningful edge. As I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in economics and philosophy at Pace University, I believe my divergent studies and experience offer a unique, applicable perspective towards data analysis and research. Economics helps me analyze and interpret data, and provides the tools to produce pragmatic solutions. How did you develop an interest in social work? As I mentioned in the portions about my life this far my brother had ADHD growing up and it caused many problems for my family. Going to counseling and seeing how many children were struggling, and how many single parents there were made me want to help.
I would first like to formally introduce myself as Kaylee Gray. For my Senior Exhibition Project I chose to follow the “Searching for Identity” pathway. To follow this pathway I decided to create a business plan for a fictional bakery that I could potentially open. I chose this product and path due to me looking into possibly entering the culinary field in the future, specifically having to do with baking and possibly owning my own business in the future. In order to connect my product to my research paper I wrote about the importance of a business plan and how one is immensely beneficial for any future business owner.
have passion for the work I do and go 110% in learning and doing my job correctly. I 've loved the previous jobs I had as staff, and have been told I do great work as a helper. It 's much easier to do a good job if you love your job. I 'm a very happy person in general, and can always brighten the mood of chat and calls. In my head, being a "helper" doesn 't make you more important than other people, such as new members.
The questions that is asked by many, what is my interest in Interior design, why go back to school at this time in life, and most of all a degree in interior design. These question I had to ask myself before I embarked on this life changing quest. I have an understand the need to examine these concerns. Normally it is a way to establish an objective of your future plans, and its also a way to stay motivated and be ambitions on the goals that you set forth. My own intention is to begin a new chapter.

Some critics may see him as a modern day robber but to the majority of the world he is a great inventor, a great programmer, and an ambitious businessmen.
Everybody always has dreams in their own life, some dreams are achievable and some are not. People without self-confidence are always scared of chasing dreams because failure is like nightmare in their minds. Nevertheless, those people will never know what did they give up, their crystalline dreams. On the other hand, people with enthusiasm always chase their dream without reasons because they will feel regret if they didn’t try; they may be successful however when they try to challenge themselves. Thus, it is important for people to chase their dreams, challenge themselves and achieve their goals.
