Helping and doing things for people is something I have always enjoyed, and I believe nursing combines these perfectly. A Nurse has to track the heartbeat of the babies, check breathing and make sure their respiratory system works.
The NICU is a Neonatal intensive care unit is a special area for premature and sick babies, they go there to receive the help they need, and some babies need help to breathe or they are missing something in their body. They can also come early before their due date and they are sent there to receive their special help. To be a neonatal nurse, you have to be a registered nurse in the (RN) with a four-year Bachelor of Science in a nursing degree is your (BSN). You must be certified in the NICU; you have to complete a minimum of year’s clinical experience in a hospital place. You also have to have licenses from the state giving you permission to do the things you learned.
Nurse anesthesists are responisible for keeping their patient pain-free and alive while they are in their care. I really look forward to making a huge impact on my patients'

A boiling heat consumed me freshman year. The weather was not the culprit, but rather my self conscious telling me that my time was up. I sat up with my text book on hand and glared at the cable box tv with the concentration of an owl, 2:59 it read. The doorknob jiggled back and forth as my mother stormed in, without a word she sauntered straight to the kitchen and upon reaching her destination she swiveled back towards me. “Didn 't I tell you to do your chores before I came home?”

As a new graduate nurse I would like to work in the emergency department because I like to see a wide variety of cases, and I like chaos. I also think the emergency department would help me hone my assessment skills. I do not intend to stay in acute care for more than five years, I would like to eventually move to the community setting. Perhaps after five years I will pursue an advanced degree or certification to become an RN case manager or a diabetes educator. I would also consider home health, or public health nursing.
Also, I am going to start getting paid when I am still doing my schooling because you have to start as a Registered Nurse. I would work to improve my patients and their family’s community and make them feel happy and healthy. They would be able to trust me and feel protected when they are around me to make my job easier. The biggest reason I chose this career is because I love children. I would love to help them and bond with them.
An infant getting discharged from the hospital because they are well enough to go home will be the best moment of my career. Knowing that in some way, shape, or form I played a part in them leaving the hospital, will leave me happy and in tears. Just by the infant leaving the hospital, I know that all the hard work that I put into becoming a NICU Nurse has paid off. It will also show me that I know what I am doing when it comes to critically ill newborns. Five to ten years down the line when I bump into the infants and their families outside of the hospital, I want to recognize the impact I had on their life.
