I want to be the person to give them all of the information about growing up, and leading them into a good path. As the oldest sibling, I always want to see them do well and be happy. In the same sense, when I teach them new things everyday, they teach me new things everyday as well. I believe that with all that I’ve been through with taking care of all of them, that I am pretty prepared for what my future holds. At the least, I know I will be ready to care for a child of my own.
I am interested in becoming a TK assistant teacher at Providence Day School. I believe my pedagogical style reflects the Providence Day commitment to students, allowing students to be intellectual risk-takers within a community of supportive learners and educators. My life experiences and my enthusiasm will allow me to teach with compassion and understanding to help students achieve academic success while nurturing their social and emotional skills. I will be graduating from Queens University of Charlotte with a degree in Elementary Education on May 6, 2017. I am currently completing my student teaching in first-grade at Sharon Elementary School.
Growing as the youngest, with the knowledge and wisdom from others I have gained a lot. Born in Ohio where criminal minds are at stake and raised in Selma with less opportunity. Not having a father figure for all of my 16 years is pretty different. Having most things not handed to you but earned being the youngest of 3, mentioning over 5+ people in one roof is not easy. However, through all the obstacles there was still a way.
I was fortunate to have a strong and loving family support system and a nurturing community that came together for my benefit. Whether it is through mentoring, tutoring or volunteering with youth events, I strive to provide the same support for the younger members of my family and community. I believe there is truth in the saying that children learn what they live, and I see it every time I work with young children. Therefore, it is my goal to someday be the kind of positive and influential role model for children that I was blessed with. I was raised to believe that you don’t make decisions in life based just on what you want to do, but rather on how you can help others and better the world around you.
I chose this result because my siblings are really irritating, but I realized if I 'm a good role model for them, they wouldn 't be as bad as
Many corporations, like Warner Bros., put their partnered video game reviewers on YouTube in a tough position, creating an environment unsuitable for honest statements and opinions. They typically form an agreement with the reviewers and may even pay them to keep them from telling the truth about the quality of their games. This puts many video game reviewers with YouTube channels at risk of losing a significant amount of their earnings, especially if they reveal something that is damaging. This puts the reviewers in an unfair position, inhibits consumers’ knowledge of the video games, and it puts the corporations’ reputation at risk. Video game reviewers are faced with representing games favorably without giving honest thoughts to maintain
Since I am the oldest child, I’ve always had to send a good message to my younger siblings and take responsibility for my actions when I didn’t. No one can have perfect character, it is impossible because everyone makes mistakes. I have shown responsibility by doing what 's right even though there might be consequences. When I make a mistake, I feel very bad and try to make up for it by making sure the work is perfect. I am always honest even though I know I could alway take the easy way out by cheating or lying.
So my mom taught me to not be negative or rude to those who had that one barbie everyone wanted so bad. But when we did have money, I would get rewarded with a toy because I would be doing good in school or behaved well at home. However when it came to my older siblings, they weren’t gifted with the same opportunities like me. My brother and sister were high school drop outs, so they really didn’t set the right example for me.
Therefore, I tried to keep them quiet, but when they got too loud I got yelled at and when I told them to be quiet… I got yelled at again since I said it too loud. It was very frustrating and annoying. In addition, my parents expect me to grow up a lot faster then my younger brothers and I am alright with that but what I don’t like is that my youngest brother, who is 11 turning 12 this year, acts and is treated as if he was a 5-year-old.
I am pursing a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I am passionate about education and excited to share the joy of learning with students. The perspective of wonder and sense of excitement that children bring into education motivates me daily. Teaching can leave a lasting impression in a child’s life and offers a special opportunity to shape the bright young minds of future generations. While many professions can be impactful, I believe the qualities of the person in the career position to be the most influential.

Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to be successful in life. I have always wanted to be the better version of my parents and achieve many things in life. During my freshman year in High school, I knew I was going to major in business. I come from a household of five, my father, mother, two younger sisters, and myself. I am the first in my family to go to college and with that being said, I have always felt the pressure to be the best role model and example for my younger sisters.
