Focusing on the process of manufacturing in order to make it more efficient is what I am interested in and that makes me want to transfer to the department of industrial engineering. Although, I have been living in the United States for only three years and English is my second language, I have been studying hard and overcome my obstacles by getting a good standing GPA. Through my determination, commitment, and problem solving skill according to my academic works and life experiences, I would like to say that I could make myself become a good engineer.
Moving from my home country, Thailand, to the United States was the most difficult thing I have ever done. However, moving to the states has opened my mind and perspective in several ways. I have experienced life in different cultures and learned how to adapt myself into. Although, learning new language is my challege, I have been working hard to be a good student. My current GPA is 3.42, though it might not be the highest GPA, but I am pretty satisfied with my grades. I have given all my effort to earn it. For instance, in my first semester in college, I got an A in my CalculusI class, while half of class dropped out and fewer people ended up getting an A. I had spent

I like designing, solving and developing. When I took an Engineering Graphics I, I learned how to use the AutoCAD program, which most engineers use for their jobs. At the end of the semester, I had to build a launcher for the tennis launcher competition. It came to what engineer actually do in their job, which gave me an idea what I would like to do in the future. I came up with several plans and design, and do some calculation to make sure it would work. It took me many experiments to make it works and developed it to go the furthest. Finally, I got the third place in the competition and ended up having an A for that
