Everyone has their own goals in life, it may be going to the military, further schooling, or following their dream, people have their own ways to achieve their goals. As well as, people have academic and extra-curricular activities to help accomplish their goals. My lifetime goal is to get my four years Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Louisiana State University Health Science Center School of Nursing. I want to study at Louisiana State University because it’s a great school for going into the health field. I want to study to become a pediatric nurse, which provides medical and health care for infants, children, and teenagers. I love working with children, and I want to keep them healthy and strong. My current academic activities is that I’m taking a class called anatomy and physiology to learn more about the different types of systems in our body, the bones in our body, and how we function. Learning about the human body is very interesting. This class will help me in the future to achieve my goal because it would be helpful to already know the different types of systems, terminological terms, and structures of organisms and parts in our body. Also, last year in my junior year I took a class called health science tech, which was a class that taught me how to take care of a patient using a manikin. My teacher showed the students and I how to change the patient to a different position on the hospital bed, how to control the bed, and communicate with the patient. Communicating with a patient is the most important because you have to tell them what you are doing to them, so they won’t be scared or nervous. With this in mind, with every patient you need to be respectful and respect their beliefs. I learned different types of diseases, disorders, and their symptoms. Also, how to treat the diseases, disorders and illness. This will help me in the future because I will know how to communicate successfully to children and parents, and provide have
