In life I have had many hobbies such as being active in sports such as volleyball and basketball, but one of the hobbies that has made me who I am is being involved in the FFA. Being in FFA has taught me to be a leader, being involved in as much as possible and stepping out of my comfort zone by talking to people all over the state of Texas. In my highschool years I have been involved in being an officer and competing on multiple CDE and LDE teams. I have been in FFA for 3 years and every moment has been bittersweet. In highschool I would stick to my clique and not interact with people I don't know, but in FFA I’ve been able to interact with people all over the state and making new friends with the same interest as me.
P.T.A Application Personal Essay “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” This is a quote by Mahatma Gandhi that I hold very close to my heart and my beliefs. In addition to my overwhelming passion for helping others, becoming further educated is something I believe to be crucial in living a accomplished life.

The National Health Service Corps’ mission to work within underserved communities is a theme I hold true in my life as well. Receiving this scholarship would allow me to move directly into the career path I have been guiding myself towards over the last three years. Since I started my journey toward working in healthcare 3 years ago, I’ve wanted to work in primary care, especially in areas of need. Once I complete my degree and join the National Health Service Corp, I hope to be able to work in rural communities where healthcare infrastructure is lacking. As a Doctoral prepared Nurse Practitioner I will have the most update to date and well-rounded education.
6 Questions Compare and Contrast Essay I feel as though that I need to leave an impression in the things I do. The mission of the Nurse Corps Scholarship Program deeply resonates with my desire to become a nurse who improves the health of those in underserved communities. Underserved communities often face a lack of healthcare resources and higher rates of chronic conditions, as these communities are often burdened by poverty, limited access to specialists, and geographical isolation. This results in higher rates of chronic conditions and disproportionate negative health outcomes. As a recipient of the Nurse Corps Scholarship, I can directly address these disparities by providing much-needed care and preventative education. Witnessing positive health outcomes in these communities is incredibly rewarding.

My desire to practice medicine comes directly from my determination to provide healthcare access to underserved communities such as the one that I was raised in. My mission is to bring access to these areas by providing quality primary care while improving the quality of life. I believe that everyone has the right to health and I have witnessed how a lack of medical guidance can lower a community’s quality of life. In high school, I was able to take a few classes where I was exposed to medicine, science, and research. As I continued to explore the field, my passion to learn more about medicine has continued to grow.
I find it enigmatic hearing the stereotype that teenagers are lazy and not hard working and the topic has become ubiquitous in the past few years. Mostly adults view teenagers as lackadaisical, emotional, and lacking work ethic, which is not plausible. This generation of teenagers will need to work harder and deal with more stress than any previous generation to get a decent job, own a house, and have a family without being severely in debt most of their life, and yet they’re considered lazy. Studies show that today’s teenagers may be the hardest working individuals the United States has seen. Adults consider teenagers lazy and spoiled, but consider these figures: in the year 1976 the cost of one year of tuition at the University of California
