Personification In Summer By Myers Annotation

150 Words1 Pages
Summer by Walter Dean Myers, the theme of summer is relaxation. Walter uses personification as one of the element. The second element is onomatopoeia. Walter uses personification in this to make his poem better. When Walter puts The daisies are dreaming he probably means even daisies are relaxed in the summer. Because daisies do not dream. That is how Walter uses personification in this poem. When Myers says “bugs buzzin” he’s implying that bugs actually say buzz but they don’t. They just make the sound. Myers is trying to get the real meaning of summer across in this poem. Or summer Myers is trying to get the reader relaxed and really wish for summer when reading this poem. This what i thought about when i read this poem. It’s relaxing
