Do you think you could persuade a crowd like Brutus and Antony did? Antony’s speech persuaded the people of Rome better than Brutus. Although Brutus’s speech is good and persuades the people of Rome but, Antony delivers the more effective speech because he persuades the audience more effectively than brutus does and Antony was able to turn the audience agaisnt him.

Antony delivers the more effective speech because he persuades the audience to follow using pathos more effectively then Brutus. We know that Mark Antony has a more effective speech because in his speech he makes the people of Rome more intrested in his speech by using pathos in section eight of antony’s speech he says “they would go and kiss dead Caesar's wounds And dip their …show more content…

Antony’s speech is better at convicing the audience by using repition and sarcasm, we know this because in section one of Antony’s speech he says “For Brutus is an honourable man; So are they all, all honourable men-- Come I to speak in Caesar's funeral.”. 3This shows that Antony sarcastic tone and repition of the word honourable get control over the crowd more effectivley than brutus. This is why Antony’s speech is more effective at persuading the audience than Brutus’s speech.

Brutus controls the audience more effectivley then Antony. This is proven because in brutus speech he is able to turn all of Rome against Caeser. In section three of Brutus’s speech he says “Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more. Had you rather Caesar were living and die all slaves, than that Caesar were dead, to liveall free men”. Although Brutus was able to change the way the Romans viewed Caeser, Antony was able to rechange the way the Romans viewed Caeser and the way they viewed Brutus making them turn on Brutus and go against him. That is another reason why Antony’s speech is better at persuading the audience then Brutus’s
