Animal shelters should be able to provide a safe place for animals instead of not
giving them a second chance at life. Each year animal shelters are forced to put down many
animals. Most Animals can be healthy and still be euthanized some who are old or seriously ill or
aggressive are more likely to be put down first after a certain number of days. Although they
have space limitations shelters should not have the idea of euthanizing poor animals just because
they don?t have enough space or necessities to care for these animals.

Unfortunately there were always be an animal overpopulation
which leads to a never ending source of animals that need their help with limited resources.
Animals kept In confinement in shelters should be provided with opportunities for exercise with
other animals and human handling to increase their physical well being period. This has been
proven that regular exercise and handling of sheltered dogs have been positively correlated with
increased adoption rates.
Animal shelters in most cases will resolve that most animals will be euthanized
after a certain period of time. Each year, approximately 2.7 million dogs in cats are killed every

year because shelters are too full and there aren?t enough adoptive homes. No healthy cat or dog
in the United states should be Euthanized simply due to lack of shelter space or homelessness.
Shelters often result in overcapacity it is considered a form of animal cruelty because it conflicts
over a long duration of time. Only 1 out of every 10 days dogs born will find a permanent

Animals can spend months or years in cages and psychologically they can
become withdrawn depressed, anxious , or aggressive. Being in these conditions is know to
result in entering and being confined in such an unfamiliar environment.In addition to causing
behavioral problems, overcrowding can result in a failure by personnel to provide for even the
basic needs of the animals in their care. Understanding to helping animals feel better in the
shelter. A recent survey data concluded that 42% of animal shelters staff say they are unable to
provide as much care and support for sheltered animals. This will result in serious neglect and
abusive situations, at the extreme, it can revolve in a large scale of deaths upon animals. Also,

can result in their chance getting adopted.
In conclusion, Animal shelters should not have the idea euthanizing poor animals
due to the fact that there isn?t enough space or necessities to care for these animals.
