Throughout the week, everyone’s main focus is on the upcoming weekend. The weekend brings going to clubs, having a couple drinks, and celebrating a good time. While enjoying time with friends and family may not be a problem, drinking may be. Drinking alcohol can decrease a person’s ability to drive safely. Once someone has consumed alcohol, the best choice they can make would be to stay off of the road. If intoxicated, they should have a friend or family member drive them home, spend the night wherever they may be, or call a taxi. As soon as someone who is intoxicated gets behind a steering wheel, both their lives and others on the road are immediately in danger. Losing a loved one due to someone else’s bad decision can be distressful. Drinking and driving should never be an option no matter what the situation may be.
