Those enslaved, innocent dogs locked up in cages for years, only to be let out at certain times; however, to be injected sharp, painful needles into their body with diseases or toxic chemicals that will kill them. Animal testing is used for cosmetic and medical reasons. People are able to see the tested products in cosmetic shops and hospitals in daily life; since they thought the products are safe. Scientists are using animals such as rats, reptiles, amphibians and birds to test. Animals around the world are being tortured, crippled and even poisoned to death (11 Facts About Animal Testing). Animal tested products does not mean it is safe for humans. Animals do not get as many diseases as humans do, so when humans test products on animals, there is guarantee no side effects would occur (Cruelty Free International). Animals testing causes discomfort for the lab animals. People should not use products that are not guaranteed since it could harm them. According to PETA2’s website, “Eighty-eight percent of stillbirths are caused by drugs which passed animal tests.” These births still in the wombs would die by the drugs that passed animal testing. Which means the safety that humans yearn for cannot be reliable towards animal testing. The drugs and cosmetics caused from tests do not give humans the protection we wished to have. As Do Something’s non-profitable organization said, “Ninety-two percent of experimental drugs that are safe and effective in animals fail in human clinical trials because they are too dangerous or does not work.” The drugs in clinics have “fail in humans” numerous of times, yet scientists and other people still distribute the medicines to hospitals without thinking whether or not people could use them or not.
