Animal testing is a very controversial topic that has been argued both against and in favor of, for many years. In today’s world of political correctness and strides towards equality, people want to obliterate animal testing either by eliminating it all together or finding an alternative. While some people believe that animal testing is vital for the science industry; one may feel it is essential in today's world. One of the biggest argument for pro animal testing is that it is necessary for medical safety. People against animal testing say that their is an alternative to animal testing, and according Dolgin, alternatives are coming alive in the U.S. In the UK there has been, “broad push to develop alternative means for assessing the potential hazards of drugs” (Dolgin).
