Should humans be allowed to play the role of God? Euthanasia is generally defined as the practice of intentionally ending a life in order to relieve pain and suffering. Euthanasia has been a subject debated for years; this is because of the clash between the beliefs of the right to live. The term 'Euthanasia' comes from the Greek word for 'easy death'. It is one of the most public policy issues being debated about today. On December 7, 2016, the Victorian Government issued a videoed statement from the Premier, Daniel Andrews, in which he explained that his government would introduce a bill to legalize assisted dying in this state in 2017. The audience of this issue would be the people of Victoria.
How would the process work? A terminally ill patient would have to ask for help to die three times. First, they would make an initial verbal request to their doctor, after that they would need to fill in a form, then they would need to affirm their wish to die verbally again.
