Of the numerous professional sports in the industry, boxing is ranked among one of the most dangerous. Head injuries pose as a serious threat to boxers, and often those injuries lead to lifelong disabilities. Football and hockey, being just as dangerous, still use protective gear unlike boxing. Boxing is dangerous and it should be banned. However, boxing does give one the ability to remain fit and in good health, and it is also helpful to those who deal with anger issues. Boxing also aides one to cope with stress or provide self defense. Corresponding to prohibition in the 1920’s, the ban of alcohol produced speakeasies, which were used to illegally distribute alcohol. Also, most narcotics are labeled as illegal, however an ample amount of people break the law and continue to use them. The engagement in boxing illegally will only create more violence with fewer rules to stop one opponent from killing the other. There is no stopping in boxing from being illegally participated in, but if there is a ban, more will see to it that it is a sport that is incredibly dangerous. Also, the ban on boxing will take away a professional boxer’s title, therefore taking away the loads of income and representatives. There would be no motive to fight other than passion, and in the world today, money is all anyone envisions. Boxing secures income but does not secure the safety of one’s life.
