The Freshman 15 is a thought that crosses the minds of most future college students, but most say that it won’t happen to them. This fear of losing a toned body after graduating high school bothers some more than others. They realize after high school there are no longer athletics, and they’ll no longer be exercising regularly. Also, when they depart from their parents house and begin to live on their own their eating habits change.
Regarding an article published in Education Week, 5/7/2015, by author Marc Tucker, “Making Graduation Meaningful: A Real Qualification System for U.S. Students”, he states “A qualification system defines key gateways. Tucker believes the American education system has lower education standards and as a result our high schools are graduating lower educated students. As a graduating senior of the class of 2016, I disagree with Tuckers opinion concerning the real qualification system. Every student should be given a second chance to improve themselves, not every student test high on the first time. Students today, have a lot of pressure put upon them to succeed in life; their parents want them to have “better lives” than what they had.
Are state tests a good or bad choice for high schools across the country? Students should not have to pass the state exam to graduate because it causes students stress and they will lack focus in their everyday studies,Debate.org and standardizedtests.procon.org say that the state exam put stress and student will show lack of focus on everyday study because student have to other stuff not only the test for example student have to do homework and get good grades and learn and top of that they have study for the state test and if they fail that state test they will not graduate,and their hard work they put in homework , classwork, etc will not be worth anything, only state exam should be given is exam to pass college.
