The legalization of abortion varies in each state, one state can have severe or harsh views towards the idea of legal abortion while another state has understanding and easygoing views. States with conservative views can be a danger to a woman with an unwanted pregnancy, causing the woman to be threatened, charged, arrested and even guilted into thinking that what she is doing is wrong, women do not have the choice on what they do with their own body, due to the negative stigmas that surround abortion. Women are not the only ones being threatened. The specialists who work at the clinic have also been receiving threats, and these unlawful actions have had effects not only on the women, but also on the people doing their jobs. Having strict laws on abortion, or just banning it altogether, has severe consequences. Women with an unplanned pregnancy will go to great lengths to terminate the pregnancy and turn to illegal abortion, havin a higher mortality rate than legal abortion. Illegal abortion can have dangerous effects on a women including chemical burns, kidney failure, the tearing of the uterus and even death.
