We cringe at the photos of severed pieces of flesh of an aborted baby. We stand back and place judgment on these women, even though we have never been in their shoes. And today in America, a woman found out she was pregnant. This may have been the news she had been waiting for, or it could have been the most earth shattering news she never wanted. I am trying to paint a picture of the different ways women react to this life inside of them, because the difficulty some women face in choosing to mother the baby depends heavily on society. Abortion is a reflection that society still has failed to meet women’s needs. As Catholics we put up blinders and only see a baby being killed, but neglect to see what goes into making the decision.
