Suicide, when a person feels they can no longer continue to live their life. People chose to end their lives for varies reasons but the main one being deep depression. Diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders has, with no doubt, significantly improved over the last decade. With this improvement, psychologist and doctors are able to detect symptoms of suicide. Trauma and pain are involved with deep depression. Certain communities are proven to experience these feelings more than others. Our Veterans are the one community that travels to new land and fight for our country. These brave individuals witness life changing events from both the enemy and fellow soldiers.

According to the 2007 report conducted by Stephanie Scoville and her co-workers, civilians from the period of 1980-2004 would commit suicide at a rate of 10.4 to 12.4 deaths per 100,000 of US residents. In contrast, active military deaths came due to suicide came out to be 9.0 to 15.0 per 100,000 person/year. As for recruits in basic training, came out with 4.8 deaths per 100,000 recruit/year (Scoville, 2007).
