There's a lot wrong with animal abuse. It not only takes a effect on the animal itself it also affects the people around it. Kids who grow up around animal abuse will most likely abuse animals, also might even grow up to abuse people too. Animal testing is also a big issue. Giving animals cancer and physically hurt them, just to see if a makeup product works. Is it really worth it? Just to look good? People also use animals for fighting, to make money. Other animals are going extinct because of all of this. Because many animals do not have a voice and cant do anything for themselves, animals are being forced to do fights, and are being given cancer from the things they get tested on. It is still inhumane and something more should be done. One issue of animals not having rights is that some animals are slaughtered for entertainment. One example involves rooster fighting, which is considered the king of sports. It definitely is a bloodsport, involving razor blades. Roosters are forced into dusty fighting pits to fight. Some zoos are not treating their animals like animals more like prisoners. In China there is a zoo where thirteen siberian tigers have died in the span of three months, because they were malnourished, from the zookeepers not taking care of them! “A total of 13 Siberian tigers have died over a span of three months in Shenyang Forest Wild Animal Zoo, including 11 that died of malnutrition and two shot dead while mauling a zoo worker in November 2009, said Liu Xiaoqiang, vice chief of the Shenyang Wild Animal Protection Station.” (“Tiger deaths” lines 9-12).
