As a human, we have always needed to go beyond from where we had been. We have achieved lots of success, and we have enhanced better understandings. However, while doing so, we have always found it effortless to test anything on animals many of which are defenseless and innocent. As a result of that, whether testing on animals is acceptable or not has created a big controversion among people for decades. People have distinct perceptions about this issue. While experiments on animals are viewed as abandoned by some, others regard this as a way of gaining information about science and medicine in order to develop them further for the good of mankind. Most of the investigations are held in laboratories, and in these laboratories, many animals undergo painful tests which may differ widely. One of them is to look for the effects of the stress on an organism. We may define stress as a reaction of the body to what causes it. The fact that a student shakes his hands during the exam or the raising in the blood pressure when someone hears a bad new may be given as an example of stress. When we consider animals, since they are not able to understand us, it is even more difficult to have a control over them. Rather than applying humanistic methods, scientists make animals tied or enclose them in cages which result in stress. Besides, scientists lead to stress by their applications for other tests. For example, according to the article published, when rats or mice are used to collect blood by tail tip method continuously, this gives rise to a trauma to awake mice (Balcombe, Barnard, & Sandusky, 2004). Another of the methods that give pain is to poison animals with chemicals. People, especially women, like becoming beautiful.
