When people see animals today they think about how cute and loveable they are,but like all actions there is always a darker side. Animals have been tested since the 1850s and the horror is still ongoing today. Testing on animals has been proven to be inhumane,inaccurate,and a danger to society.Animal testing should not be legal for it’s cruel stain on humanity.

It can cause terrible diseases and can majorly damage future generations. “The 1950s sleeping pill thalidomide, which caused 10,000 babies to be born with severe deformities, was tested on animals prior to its commercial release. [5] Later tests on pregnant mice, rats, guinea pigs, cats, and hamsters did not result in birth defects unless the drug was administered at extremely high doses.(should). I agree with the author on this quote this birth defect may have taken away our next Einstein, this is a very important matter that must be resolved. Furlong has showed us how humans are unique and there are no other known species like us. Humans can’t use animals because they are a different species. We need some other way to test medical and commercial items. “Animal research has also contributed to major advances in understanding and treating conditions such as breast cancer, brain injury, childhood leukemia, cystic fibrosis, malaria, multiple sclerosis, tuberculosis, and many others, and was instrumental in the development of pacemakers, cardiac valve substitutes, and anesthetics(Animal testing has contributed)”.
