Animal testing seems like something out of a movie. All the mad scientists and special equipment, but it is not many products today's world is made safe by animal testing. We take animals that should live a long life but we cut it short for our personal gain. If we are trying to find a way to cure cancer that is fine in my opinion because if a small animal dies to save lives that is a good trade. But the Problem, in my opinion, is when we are testing beauty products on animals and killing some 26 million animals a year. A few Companies that test on animals are Avon, Benefit, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Makeup Forever, Maybe Line, OPI and Victoria's Secret. These companies all use animals to test if their beauty product is safe to put on our skin and if it reacts to it in a good way or bad way. An animal should be in the forest scavenging for food and preparing for winter and harsh weather. But we just keep them in a cage or plastic box to be killed or deformed by some scientist that wants to make a beauty product. We can't just cut a living things life short even if we think they are pests from a fruit fly to a mouse they have a life they raise offspring and have a home. Why should we cut their lives short because I don't have a good reason besides medicine why would we waste lives for makeup. We don't even need to use animals we have alternatives such as sophisticated computer systems, mathematical models, human tissue and cell cultures and more focused clinical studies can also show us what happens to our bodies during disease. If we are trying to find a cure for asthma, for example, we would only need to test it until we find a solution.The only time I think we need an animal is studying a lung-related problem that none of those can help with. And sometimes animals don't react the same to things as humans
