Over 100 million animals are killed in U.S because of cosmetics testing (Francis & Collins, n.d.). Animals are still suffering and dying to test cosmetics. Animals including mice, rats, frogs and rabbits are cruelly used for testing that continues to harm them in many ways. All that happen for animals just because many companies still want to develop new products or ingredients. According to Peta report “over 250 cosmetics brands still use this practice” (2016), for example of these brands are Maybelline, L’Oréal, M.A.C and Mary Kay. 2 Most of the companies produce cosmetic products they still use animals to test the safety of their products before they are put it on the market. In other words, these experiments happen first times in since 1938 when Congress published Cosmetic Act after people outcry because several affected happened to people from cosmetics products so, from this moment the test on animals being. However, the animals are not worth these just because women to be more beauty.
Although they are not allowed to do experiments on animals by law, but most of the companies they still use animals for several tests are usually performed to cosmetics ingredients and these include test on animals happens in laboratories.
