Animal Testing Products that we see and use every day have been approved for safety purposes, Crest, Dove, Glad, Off!, etc. There is one main way humans have decided to test the safety of these products and many more, by testing on animals (Which companies and brands still allow testing on animals?). Animals should not be tested on with harmful chemicals because of many reasons. Animals are not as comparable to humans as perceived. People find it cruel and inhumane. There are also alternative methods to test products. This is why animals should not be used for testing products. For instance, approximately twenty-six million animals are used in scientific and commercial tests every year (Animal Testing). The Animal Welfare Act, established in 1966, is the only law that regulates the treatment of animals that are used in laboratory testing (Animal Welfare Act). However, approximately ninety-five percent of animals are not covered by this law (Pros and Cons of Animal Testing). Animals are their own people.
