In today’s society there’s many race arose “Black Lives Matter.” There is many cases where there has been “Police Brutality.” There has been more effect on the black community and I believe people focus too much on race and not enough on how to better the police enforcement. Police officers should be trained and displaced. We can’t label all police officers as bad ones and all black men as criminals.
Police officers would often have to make quick and objective judgements to minimize casualties and losses. In 2015, more than a thousand young black men were killed by the U.S. police force--11 of which were unarmed(alternet.org). The flaw with the system is how limited the word “reasonable” means as it is always the one(police) who has power that defines the word. All throughout America, individuals are taught at a young age that police officers are always the “good guys.” Police officers are painted to be trustworthy, honorable, and advocates of justice. This idea is often displayed in the media through television shows, movies, and news specials. For some, this idea still holds truth, however there are many, particularly individuals of color, whom would quickly disagree. Numerous persons of color have been subjected to racial profiling by officers resulting in stops, searches, and false accusation of crimes.
The federalist papers helped to shape the current government of The United States of America. This series of essays played a major role in the voting of the new constitution in 1787. These essays argued for the ratification of the new constitution against the articles of confederation, which were inevitably failing. The essays are a very important piece of US history, and present. They helped to create and form the US government that has been used for 230 years, and is still being used today.
Although we hope our Police force will use their powers for good, but sometimes police misconduct can occur. Often, the police are under great pressure to act as quick as possible, espcially in a murder case and if the murder victime is white, a child, police officer, or prominent. For example, In the 1990’s the case of Rodney King, that not only shows a racist issue within the criminal justice system, but also the issue with abuse from police officers, but changed the country’s views on the LA police force. Twenty- Seven years ago,Rodney King was brutally beaten by Los Angeles police officers.
When a police officer shoots a young black unarmed man in the streets, than does not face indicement, anger in the city is ineventable. But is Rioting wrong? Protests and Riots began a day after a fatal shooting of Michael Brown by a white officer Darren Wilson on August 9, 2014 in Ferguson, Missouri. Many that were unsettled by the shooting sparked vigorous debates in the United States, about the relationship between the law enforcement and African Americans, and about the use-of-force doctrine in Missouri and nationwide. A St. Louis grand jury decided not to indict officer Wilson, and he was discharged of criminal wrongdoing by the United States Department of Justice.
It seems that the officers who fear black males, as the study presented before suggests, are allowed to shoot their weapons out of fear because the courts are protecting them. It is a police officer’s duty to be brave and not to act out of fear, but it seems as if the officers that are involved in killing these unarmed black men are only acting out of fear. There are so many cases where officers are acquitted or their charges are dropped. This has to do with the absence of video evidence and every police officer claiming that they were acting in
There has been many controversial issues about the “stop-and-frisk” law. One side believes that it is racially profiling the communities of minorities and the other side believes that it is helping communities rise away from violence. There is a lot of history and background on stop-and-frisk and how it originated in the United States, especially in different places around the world. This law has been very controversial even within the law itself, so controversial states are debating on getting rid of it completely. Many politicians speak on this tactic in both positive and negative ways and the statistical growths and decreases on this topic.

Over the past couple of years America has begun to acknowledge police brutality as a serious problem. While state-sanctioned violence towards individuals of varying races of color is not new, the documentation through dash-cams and civilian cellphone footage has brought the brutality to light.
Young black men who are shot by the police are very commonly justified, such as Michael Brown who was shot by police because he went for a cops gun inside a cops car. Slyville Smith was killed because he had a record of various arrests, and refused to put his illegally obtained pistol down when an officer asked him to. Where are the overzealous white cops who are out to take young black men into prisons for no reason? Where are the cops who kill solely because they're racist? Some may argue that cops who are pulling people over for “small” crimes like a broken tail light or slightly overspeeding is what causes more police brutality, but if a cop pulls a person over for a broken tail light, and they gets out of the car with a weapon, is the cop really racist in that scenario?
Many people, like myself, believe that police officers do not always get in trouble when situations like police racism or brutality happen. They do not think about getting in trouble because most of them literally don 't at all. When cops get caught for illegal actions they are just going to get in trouble by there own friends on the force, just to be put on paid leave. Not being caught is a big issue and is mainly why cops think that they can do whatever they want and completely get away with it. In many
Law enforcement is ensuring an act of obedience to the law. Police officers often take advantage of enforcing the law and end up using violence when it 's not necessary. According to the Washington post ( 2015 ) every 28 hours an unarmed colored person is killed by a police officer. I think it is time for these and other victims who were treated unjustly by police officers to get justice. These deadly law enforcement incidents must come to an end.
Cops around the United States have been accused of racially profiling black people. This topic has been brought up by everyone around the U.S. and is very controversial. Studies have shown that the majority of deaths by police officers have been people of opposite color in America. Police brutality in America is a growing epidemic that has shown no signs of slowing down. Innocent men, women, and even children have been killed by police officers for no reason.
Everyday Police officers are serving our nation, state, county, and city. Their duty is to help product and to provide a safe environment to the community. Often officer face dangerous scenarios and are at risk everyday. Depending on where an officer works, will usually determine how much he/she is paid and what they do on a daily basis. Well a question that often arises, should law enforcement officers be paid higher wages, because of what they do for the community?
[ Imagine this scenario: you are complying with the police that are screaming at you, guns pointed at you, screaming “please don 't shoot” and trying your best to do what the police are asking. Daniel Shaver was an unarmed man fatally shot for no good reason. He was complying with the police officers orders and was begging for his life, screaming “please don’t shoot,” before he was fatally shot 5 times. Unfortunately, this is just one example of police brutality, an instance when police use unnecessary force when either they are unarmed or are complying with orders. Today I want to tell you of the injustice of police brutality, the people it affects, and how just asking the right questions could make sure that police are punished for their crimes.
