Since the cost of living is so high in California, Governor Brown felt that he should propose something that would help the citizens living here. Thie with his proposal is with how ill thought it was the plan would be detrimental to California as a whole. Governor Brown's proposition was created with only good intentions; the plan was just not thoroughly thought out. His goal was to allow more people to live comfortably in California, which in turn would result in boosting the state’s economy. To create safe living spaces one has to do a thorough job, and allowing construction companies to cut corners can lead to catastrophic results. Due to how rapidly this is desired to be done, planning may not be as strategically as it can be. This will cause issue to arise later on due surrounding expanding the town or city. Local governments will also take a financial hit because they will end up having to spend their own money on the housing which could be spent on other necessity such as improving the roads. Due to the fact that this will be funded by taxpayers’ money and that it is not being spent on what they want it to be, local governments inboxed will be flooded with constituents complaints. Instead of the government being able to handle more pressing matters they will be forced to address what they are being required to do and having to pacify the annoyed public. This proposal will allow for work to be outsourced to other places, both californian and non California residents. Due to how quickly Governor Brown wants everything to be done, it is inevitable that there will be environmental repercussions. This include polluting water and soil. This can greatly affect Calfina because of how agricultural it is. If Construction does result in pollution the crops that are produced will no longer be fit to sell which can have a negative impact on California’s economy. Outside of the economical impact, the pollution will have a negative impact on the resident of California that the proposal is meant to help. Pollution can lead to serious illnesses and people may not be able to work anymore. Also, depending on how close to other buildings and houses constitution can lead to citizens ingestion pollutants that are in the air because they are not as covered or in the proper gear that the construction workers are in. The speed and lack of funding it will receive will result in outsourcing materials to try and cut costs. Many countries where we outsource from do not have the same regulations, so if one of the objects we received were to break it could damage the environment. The environment is going through dramatic changes due to climate change so pushing quick building can result in harming local flora and fauna more and at a more alarming rate. Major cities already have so little nature to then and the main places building is near cities so native species local to that area are at risk
