My position on what makes a succesful is it must do more than entertain us; they should have an important issue or idea. There are several reasons why movies should have a lesson or deeper meaning and here are just a few. Some movies teach about emergency and safety procedures. Movies help us to learn about other religions and cultures. They also keep your mind agile while watching a movie and they help with grief. Here are some examples of emergency and safety procedures. Some movies are made to touch our minds, to get our mental dogs working, to awaken and expand our consciousness. Interstellar is a movie of exploration and travel through a wormhole in space making an attempt to ensure humanity’s survival. Deja Vu is good to watch, it makes you think about how you would react in that situation. In this film a ferry was bombed in New Orleans, an A.T.F. agent joins a unique investigation using experimental surveillance technology to find the bomber. Limitless the movie is about a mysterious pill that enables the user to access one hundred percent of their brain abilities. A struggling writer becomes a financial wizard, but it also puts him in danger of deadly side effects by taking the pill. In conclusion, my position is that movies are not successful unless there is a lesson or important idea. Movies are a large part of society and some only learn from movies. I have given plenty of examples of why movies are beneficial to all of society when there are lessons or important ideas in all movies.
