Climate change is a shift in weather conditions determined by changes in winds, precipitation, temperature, and other factors. Is it pollution? Is it human activities? Or is it natural? Scientists believe the main cause of present-day global warming trend is human expansion of the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is the warming of Earth that happens when the atmosphere traps heat radiating from Earth toward outer space. It is a serious problem and it is affecting the lives of species. In particular, polar bears, who live in the North, and fish in the sea have been susceptible to these changes and if we stay on this route there might be no turning back. Climate change needs to be controlled and we need to take action to help our Earth and lives of animals. …show more content…
They've looked at cycles and events that are known to affect climate and supposedly one pattern is the effect of greenhouse gases released by humans. There are a number of greenhouse gases responsible for warming, and it is mostly humans emitting them in various different ways. “Most come from the combustion of fossil fuels in cars, factories and electricity production,” (Causes of Global Warming). The gas that is responsible for warming Earth is carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is a colorless and odorless gas produced by burning carbon and organic compounds. “Other contributors include methane released from landfills and agriculture, nitrous oxide from fertilizers, gases used for refrigeration and industrial processes, and the loss of forests that would otherwise store CO2,” (Causes of Global Warming). Earth's climate is always changing and observations show that the course Earth is taking, will lead to big impacts on the world and how it is
