However, it is still an issue for students to cough up that money. The idea of making community college free to any student in America has been a dream for low income students for a while. President Obama’s desire to make the tuition of community college to everyone in the nation would only make it difficult for students to get a free education, limit them to essential resources, and discourage students from applying to four year universities. Granting free community college tuition to incoming freshmen will draw “more students to already crowded community colleges”. Along with the overcrowded campuses, a very long waiting list will soon form making it just as competitive to get into a four year university.
Arguing For Free College Education has developed in our society in such a way that its a primary factor on how much we succeed in life. Higher education like colleges should be free to the public since everyone deserves an equal opportunity to receive higher education no matter their financial situations. Its well known that the better education you receive, the more likely your profession will come with an exceptional wage. However, the U.S. only provides free education from K-12 which in recent years that isn’t enough to have a good wage to support a family.
In the United States a community college is defined as a nonresidential junior college offering courses to people living in a particular area. They are post secondary schools and are also referred to as junior colleges, vocational or technical schools because generally the course of study is for two years. The student can earn an associates degree or certification and/or continue their education by transfering to a four year college to complete their educational pursuits and earn a Bachelor 's degree. Community colleges started in the late 1800’s and have grown and evolved over the years. Today many four year colleges and universities have become so expensive to attend that many prospective students are opting for the more affordable alternative of a community college for their first two years of study where they can save money by living at home and taking classes that will transfer to a four year institution, however, there are students that cannot afford the lower cost of community colleges.
A child does not typically think about their lives ahead. Although they may not think about it, it is still there. Life ahead means getting a job to make money for everything else and if one wants a good job in the future, then college is the best option. College education is worth it because it makes a person better and more educated, it is not as expensive as some think, and college pays for itself once there is a good job to pay for it.

The first two years of college should be free. In the first two years of college, we are practically relearning everything that we have already learned in high school. It's completely ludicrous to make us pay for classes that we already know the material for.
If college can be free, more students would go to school and to get a higher degree for themselves. A person who wants to attend college should not take on such a large financial and time commitment just to please other people. College is expensive, and it does not make sense to spend money on a college degree if they are unsure of their path.

However, politicians and the public were concerned that our standardized test scores were not as good as those of other countries.
