When it comes to safety in America a broad and serious spectrum of incidents being caused by distracted driving. In direct comparisons it is known as being one of the most deadly and frequent incidents on a broad scale, distracted driving can be prevented by just choosing to focus on your driving and following rules of the road. Our state hasn’t done enough to prevent this, this observation is due to the accidents that happen even with laws being set for the people who participate in this action are continuing to take part in it and this may be due to there not being a real fear of the consequences of getting caught doing so. The argument on the side of keeping the laws how they are state that having texting and driving is enough to prevent distracted driving yet, using a cellular device while driving in general can be considered distracted driving and the danger of accidents involving this is still steep. The step of making it illegal to text and drive is just the first step towards a new safer generation of drivers which will be led by the upcoming advancements in driving laws and safety regulations starting with the illegalization of cellular devices while driving indefinitely. Due to the fact that some people have never experienced the impact that distracted driving can have upon a family and even a community they choose to do what they feel is alright in their driving tactics, because everyone is different this also plays into the way that people drive and even how they feel about driving in certain situations. If there was more of a widespread call for change and evidence to back up the claims people may look more in depth into their driving habits and look for a safer way to drive, this may also help spread the word on the dangers and overall irresponsibility that distracted driving tends to
