I believe that dog fighting is very cruel and people should be prosecuted for this crime. Dog fighting is when people train their dogs to fight another dog. The objective is for the winning dog to rip the other dog to shreds. Dog fighting is done underground because it's obviously illegal. There are many different types of dogs involved in dog fights but the most popular and most common is the infamous Pit bull. Now I have experience with these breed, every dog I have had has been a pit bull and I find them to be the sweetest dogs ever. The pit bull bred is said to be one of the most loyal and most abused dog in American culture. Generally pit bulls are very gentle and fiercely loyal dogs. However they are also very powerful dogs with and outstanding amount of jaw strength. Training of the dogs vary. It depends on the level of knowledge and experience the dog trainer has. Some techniques used to train these dogs on treadmills, cat mill, jump poles, flirt pole, chains, weights, bait, and supplements. In the early stages of training the dogs are incited to lunge at each other without touching this form of training is called rolls or bumps. Once the dog trainer thinks the dog is ready they then train them against stronger dogs. When the dogs are deemed ready they are entered into a fight. The dogs fight in an actually pit. The dogs are held in a kennels located off that pit. When fight starts they release these dogs into the pit. When the dogs are released it’s almost like they explode out and are flying in the air to get to each other. They then fight relentlessly until only one is standing.
