Teenagers running rampant while theirs dead cats all over tear running down a mother’s eyes and all because that kid wanted to drive but not very well and very irresponsible. Now what I’m getting at is the age for teenagers to drive I personally think they should bring up the age for driving cars. Now people might think that this age of normal 16 and up is good but if we bring up this age we could potentially decrease the risk of you getting hit by a car and saving lives.
Most of these reasons is because of the crash rates of the teens from 15-20. This data chart is specific this states the “Table one of the Total car crashes from 1998 and 2008 from 15 to 20 years of age” (Table 1). The total of drivers put into this car crash is only from one state and only if we put the age higher for people who are more responsible for driving. I know that people can be very reckless on the road like texting and driving that not only teens do but you also but from source 2 it states that “Lack of sleep can also be a major factor in teenage crashes”. This means that kids need to worry more about school and if that child is too tired it could potentially kill someone in the process. Now people are getting too tired and need to get their sleep instead of going to their house in this quote it states that “In 2008, 2,739 15-20-year-old drivers were killed and an additional 228,000 were injured” (Source 1 line 13-14).
