Financial Aid As the years go by, many colleges tuition increase. Many people have become unemployed. Young adults, teenagers or maybe elderly people turn to financial aid to help them through college. They simple want to get themselves a better future. However, I believe that students should not have to pass a drug test for financial aid because they can be on perception, we do not know their circumstance, and a waste of money. First, some people might be on perception medications. Some of the medications they get are considered drugs, all of the medications are drugs. Some drugs have higher doses than others. People grow up with different illness they cannot get rid of. They get put on medications that help them. This does not mean that they are doing drugs. It simply just calms them down or helps them in other ways. For example, ADHD also known as attention- difficult/ hyperactivity disorder. This ill ness causes them hyperactivity, impulsiveness and attention difficulties. People get put on medication so it can help by boosting their concentration, reducing hyperactive and impulsive behaviors. This does not mean that they are doing drugs it is just medication. People might be dealing personal circumstance. For examples, maybe someone is rehabilitating. It does not mean that they are doing drugs. They are trying to get their life back together. They might relapse once in a while but that does not mean its right to take it away. They are trying to better their future for themselves and maybe for their families. It is not easy but if they continue to go to school and give it their best there should why take it away. People who are in rehabilitating are not druggy’s, they are bettering themselves.
