Adoption has been around for decades with barely any problems coming up, but lately, gay adoption has become an issue. With the number of orphans in the world but not enough families, there is an overabundance of orphans. There are only a few families that can afford to apportion and are willing to, maybe they can’t afford to keep them, they already have children of their own, or they just don't want kids. The solution to help that is gay adoption, the amount of open homosexual couples that are willing to adopt children. It is still illegal for gay coulee to adopt kids in some parts of the U.S., and even in the world. In every country, there are kids readily waiting to get adopted and parents ready to adopt and welcome those children into their homes but are unpermitted to do so. Some states are slowly becoming for open-minded, while other states are standing firm on their strict laws against gay adoption. Some believe that it is not natural for gay couples to adopt kids because it could cause psychological problems or it is against their religion. People like Bill Maier, a child psychologist working with conservative Focus on the Family, would say, “Children in foster care ‘are already scarred’ by abuse and neglect, we would want to do everything we could to place them in the optimal home environment.” But yet studies had been showing that gay couples are doing really good rating children. With gay couples possibly adopting there will be more homes for orphans or kids around the world. There’s a good chance that a kid would rather be adopted by a gay couple than to bounce from foster home to foster home.
