Could you imagine watching and enjoying a movie at your local theater, eating a meal at your favorite restaurant, or even sitting in a class at a school or office building and there arev people with loaded gun ready to kill? Although in the past this may have seem a little far from real life or even believable, in this day a time it is a reoccurring thing that happens all over the world. But, in America we have the largest amount of gun related deaths each year in the world. In the United States these types of things happen because of our second amendment of the United States Constitution which gives citizens the right to possess and carry guns. Both sides will not be totally happy with the laws created. But America needs a change. I can understand that all guns could not be banned because they are used for sport. However, it is not logical that people need to carry guns for day to day use. Gun rights should be looked at closely and severely restricted, because they are made to kill, they have increased the murder rate in the United States, and they have even made it easier for children to easily kill other children. More gun-control laws are needed to protect women from domestic abusers and stalkers, to help control the suicide rate by guns, and to even help conflicts less likely to become violent. The first reason guns should be banned for citizens is because their main purpose is simply to kill other human beings. Now I understand that guns do not kill people, but people do and that why we have to control who has the rights to carry guns. Why does our country allow us to have the right to own an object that is deadly? Does that seem like our government really cares about our safety? Guns are only for one purpose and one purpose only….. To kill
