In America, there are approximately 270 million firearms possessed by civilians, and only 897 thousand carried by the police. There are many people that believe there should be more or better laws against gun control, like the required minimum age to purchase a firearm, what the minimum age is to start learning gun safety, and whether to teach kids about gun safety at all. Many people are also blaming video games for all of the violence, not only gun related, in schools and public places. Then there are the people that believe the current gun control laws are perfect the way they are or are already too harsh. So what is gun control? Should kids be taught gun safety? If so, what should the minimum age requirement be, and what type of firearms should they be taught to use? Currently, if you are twelve years or older, you are required to take a hunters safety course in order to get a hunting permit. Hunter safety courses teach how to handle a firearm in certain situations and how to properly and safely remove a firearm from a vehicle and put it back in. At the end of some hunter safety courses, you go to a shooting range and shoot clay pigeons. Now, some parents or concerned adults may consider this dangerous.
