Gun control is a set of laws or policies that regulate the manufactures, transfers, modifications, possessions, sales, or the use firearms by civilians. When civilians own guns they often use it for safety and protection. In the other side of the spectrum we have the illegal industry. Where these guns are sold illegally and are used to commit crimes. In the second amendment it says “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” It also says in the second amendment that guns “ Cannot be used except for self-defense and hunting.” There is not enough regulation or authority with gun control. As the nation on earth with the most guns, we must make sure that the people are safe and protected. We should have a mandatory training and licensing along with safe-and secure-gun storage. This training shouldn’t be a one-time affair. Gun owners should be required to normally refresh their training and renew their permits, with the requirements at least as harsh as those governing renewal of your driver’s license. Education on guns should be a requirement in high school because when the people grow older they know how to use the gun properly. There should be a class on guns in 12th grade. Why 12th grade? People in 12th grade are more mature than grades 11 and under. Gun education is a way we can save young lives. There should should be regulations on guns. Let’s say you had a criminal record that was on domestic violence, I think that you shouldn’t have a gun. We should also make sure that people with mental illnesses should have prescription medicine and have a physicist to be able to own a gun. I handled this situation by making a safe environment where everybody thinks that they a protected and secure.
